GoTreads are a patented automotive device designed to provide traction to a vehicle’s drive tires when stuck in snow, mud, or sand. They are a great emergency tire traction aid when tire chains are not available.
GoTreads are made of flexible, high strength polypropylene copolymer. When folded, they are small enough to be stored under the car seat. When extended, they are over 40 inches long. This provides a firm base on top of the snow or mud to allow your tires to gain enough traction to pull out.
GoTreads were designed for simplicity. They can be put in position in front of the drive tires in mere seconds. No tools, no assembly, and no attaching to the tire are required. At 2.5 pounds, you won’t throw your back out trying to lift them. Also, the smooth finish allows the snow and mud to be shaken off for easy cleaning.
To use Go Treads, put the vehicle in park and set the emergency brake. Unfold Go Treads and lay it in front of the tire that is stuck. Release the emergency brake, put the vehicle in gear, and slowly accerlerate. This allows the Go Treads to be pulled underneath the drive tire, providing traction. Drive out and to a safe place before stopping to retrieve your GoTreads.
